Daus has noticed a pattern in his DMs that makes him happy. There was a mother who sent her son to open an account, and a husband who helped his wife get started. People who already understand bring along the people they love.
But Daus has also seen what can go wrong when good intentions aren’t followed by the right approach. So this page has four parts: three things Daus asks you to do first, message templates already complete with conditions, the reward conditions, and how to become a referrer yourself if you want to use your own link.
Three things before you invite someone
1. Ask first, don’t push, and don’t tell them to register too early
Everyone has their own financial situation. Some still carry credit card debt, some don’t have an emergency fund yet. For them, investing right now could make things worse.
Send them to Phase 0 of the learning path first. If they can’t tick all four things in that phase yet, it’s better to wait.
Also, don’t tell them to register Moomoo today if the money for the first deposit isn’t ready. The 30-day clock for the reward starts running from the day they register.
Daus recommends opening a Moomoo account once you have RM1,000 ready for the first deposit. The new-user reward starts at RM1,000, and every order carries a fixed fee (RM3 for a Bursa trade), which eats a big share of a small balance. Technically there is no minimum deposit — this is Daus’s advice.
Not at RM1,000 yet? Don’t register yet, because the 30-day reward clock starts the day you register. Save up first in Versa Cash-i or ShopeePay Money+, and practise with Paper Trading or the simulator meanwhile. (Daus also has referral codes for Versa and Money+.)
2. Register using their own name and phone number
This is the most important part, and the one people get wrong most often.
A Moomoo account must be registered using the account holder’s own IC, name and phone number, and one IC can only have one account. The deposit must also come from a bank account in the account holder’s own name.
Daus once came across a case where a husband made a deposit from his own Affin account into his wife’s Moomoo account. The names didn’t match, so the deposit got stuck with a status of Pending and was eventually returned. Time passed, and the 30-day window for the reward got tighter and tighter.
You can sit beside them and show them, but let them be the one who taps the button. That way they learn, and the account is genuinely theirs.
3. Don’t become their money manager
Share what you do yourself. But don’t pick stocks for them, and don’t hold their password or OTP. If the market drops later, they need to understand for themselves why they bought, not blame you for it.
Show them how to choose their own investments and how to spot scams. Those two pages are worth more than any stock name.

The two versions below have the link, code, full reward conditions, and commission disclosure. The opening sentence in square brackets [ ] is deliberately left blank. Write what you genuinely do yourself, because a message in your own words is more believable, and don’t claim things you don’t do. Reward conditions, so there’s no misunderstanding
This reward is for new users only, and it’s just a bonus. If your family wants to claim it, all of these conditions are compulsory, in this order:
- Register when RM1,000 is ready. The 30-day clock starts on the day of registration.
- Code first, deposit after. Register using Daus’s link, and make sure the Referrer line shows under the campaign picture. Once the account is approved, enter code DAUSDK37 at Special Deposit before the first deposit. If they deposit first without the code, the extra from Daus’s code is usually missed. The safest way is to make the first deposit RM1,000 or more straight away.
- First deposit of at least RM1,000, within 30 days of registering. A deposit of RM1,000 gets about RM150. There are higher tiers for bigger deposits, up to RM1,500 for RM40,000. If they really want a higher tier, the safest way is to put that full amount in as the first deposit.
- Tap Claim themselves. The reward doesn’t arrive by itself.
- Keep the deposit in for 60 days. The money can be withdrawn any time, but if the net deposit balance falls below RM1,000 before 60 days, the RM50 coupon and the Apple stock won’t unlock.

A few things you should know:
- When it arrives: cash coupons go into Me → Coupons, and under the official terms they’re credited within 7 working days. The Apple stock for the RM10,000 tier only becomes active after your friend keeps that deposit in for 60 days.
- Amounts change with the campaign. The table above is what showed in October 2026. The top of that page sometimes has limited-time bonuses with other conditions. Read the conditions and dates in the app before promising your friend anything.
- Your friend must click your link BEFORE depositing. Under the official terms, if a friend has already deposited before clicking your link, a request to link them afterwards will be rejected.
- One IC, one account. Don’t register an account for someone else, and don’t tell anyone to open a second account.
- The RM1,000 suggestion still applies. Even though there are rewards for friends who deposit small amounts, the fixed fee per order still eats into a small starting amount. So still suggest they start once they have RM1,000.
After they register
Send them the learning path from zero. Go through Phase 0 to Phase 3 together, one phase at a time.
After they buy their first stock, send them the page After your first buy, then what?. That page saves more people from quitting early than anything else, because it explains why a red number on the first day is normal.
And if they have a question you’re not sure about, tell them to ask Daus directly. Daus’s guidance on WhatsApp is free, and it’s better they ask than guess.
